差事劇團成立於1997年,運用民眾戲劇(People’s Theatre)的訓練方法暨理論系統,從現實出發,融合在地歷史與生活經驗,於現代劇場中探索表演美學的戲劇形式。多年來,在城巿NGO團體/社區大學/弱勢社群及農村,進行社區戲劇工作坊的經驗,成為讓民眾走上舞臺的戲劇催生團體。在藝文紮根的範疇中,具備在地發聲的主體位置,同時還與亞洲民眾戲劇團體暨工作者交流,包括日本、南韓、中國、菲律賓、印尼等。近年來的目標更擴大至與全球民眾戲劇團體互動。
文化大學藝術研究所碩士。期間受教於姚一葦老師,因此接觸鄉土文學論戰與左翼思潮。受陳映真先生影響,先後參與《夏潮》雜誌與《關懷》雜誌,曾擔任《人間》雜誌主編,連結藝術勞作與庶民生活對等的視線。 在戲劇上,將創作性的「民眾戲劇」和社會實踐的「民眾戲劇」區分開來。他認為創作就是要深入風格與內容的核心,而劇場的社會實踐,則是將身體與意識還原給社區民眾。 1989年,從亞洲第三世界出發,展開民眾戲劇的文化行動,1990年參與亞洲民眾劇場匯演,1996年正式成立差事劇團。2017年台北市第21屆文化獎得獎人。

Mr. Chunge has an MA in Arts Studies from Chinese Culture University. During the graduate school period, one of his teachers was Yao Yiwei and he became involved in the debate over local literature and leftist thinking. In addition, the influence from Mr. Chen Yingzhen also pushed him to join Chinatide Magazine and Care Magazine. When serving as the chief editor for Human Magazine, he made the effort to connect arts with the life of ordinary people. In theater, Zhong Qiao separates creative people’s theatre from people’s theatre focusing on social implementation. He believes creation has to touch upon the core of style and content and the social implementation of theatrical works is to restore the body and consciousness for the people of the community. In 1989, he started with the third world in Asia and launched a series of cultural movements in association with people’s theatre. In 1996, he organized the group to go on a performance tour on both sides of the strait and a number of countries in Asia to connect the efforts for people’s theatre in these places. In 1990, the group took part in consolidated performance activities of people’s theatre in Asia and gradually laid the foundation for the official establishment of Assignment Theatre. In 2017, he won the 21ste Taipei Culture Award.
