總監楊景翔因2012年參與日本劇場大師鈴木忠志創辦之利賀亞洲導演藝術節(The Asian Theatre Directors’ Festival in TOGA)後，有感於多年身為獨立藝術家在製作面向上的限制，渴求於團隊合作的延續性，2013年與蔡佾玲、詹慧君及卡霞(Kate Stanislawski)於臺北創立「楊景翔演劇團」，以「透析時代氣氛，紀錄當代現象」為創作主軸，而後陸續加入核心藝術家陳仕瑛、潘冠宏，創作探討當代議題、體現當代生活而引發關注討論，藉由不同藝術主創者，展現多元劇場美學觀點，兼具娛樂性與思考性，提供不同品味的劇場體驗。 劇團亦多次參與重要藝術節：臺灣國際藝術節、烏鎮戲劇節、臺北藝術節、高雄春天藝術節、臺南藝術節、彰化劇場藝術節及新舞臺藝術節等；2022年起，開啟跨境合作─東亞劇場交流平台(EATI)進行國際交流連結。 從原創劇作與西方轉譯文本到跨界合作，除致力於演出創作，2016年起舉辦「尚青培訓計畫」亦著重劇場創作人才培育與傳承，規畫高密度編導演及展演課程，建立新生代劇場創作者的進修及發表平台。

現為「楊景翔演劇團」藝術總監、臺灣藝術大學客座助理教授。代表作品包括《我為你押韻—情歌Revival》（導演）、《單身租隊友1.2》（聯合編劇、導演）、《平庸的邪惡》（編導）、《台灣有個好萊塢》（導演）等。2019年第56屆金馬獎開幕演出《有一陣人，追求一个夢》導演。2012年日本利賀「亞洲導演戲劇節」Toga Asian Theatre Directors＇ Festival獲獎人。2011年客家電視台連續劇《阿戆妹》任戲劇指導及編劇統籌，入圍第47屆金鐘獎最佳編劇、最佳戲劇。

Yang is the founder and artistic director of Yang’s Ensemble Theater Company. Currently teaching directing at the National Taiwan University of Arts as a VAP. He holds an MFA in Directing from Taipei National University of the Arts. The most iconic productions he directed are Yang’s Ensemble: Love Song: Rhyme for You “Revival”, Taiwan Hólíwood; in which he directed and wrote The Banality of Evil, and Roommates 1 ＆ 2(co-written). In 2019, he directed the opening act, in an adaption of an act in Taiwan Hólíwood, broadcasted live at the 56th Golden Horse Awards. He won the Toga Asian Theatre Directors＇ Festival 2012 in Japan. In 2011, he worked as the head writer and on-set acting coach of the TV series Innocence by Hakka Television Station. It was nominated for Best TV Series Screenplay and Best TV Series at the 47th Golden Bell Awards.
