曾連續兩屆獲偶戲金掌獎「最佳配樂音效獎」，入圍第十五屆臺灣原創流行音樂大獎、第三十六屆傳藝金曲獎「最佳偶戲主演獎」。2021年開設首個聚焦布袋戲的Podcast「布袋戲，講予恁聽」，積極推動臺灣布袋戲文化，期望讓布袋戲走入更多人的生活。2025年獲選PAR表演藝術雜誌年度人物（歷屆首位布袋戲主演）。

 Wang Kai-sheng, born in 1989, is a Taiwanese puppeteering artist and a musician. He in the fourth generation inherits the leadership of Gihienke Hand Puppet Theater Company. He stars in the majority of this company’s production; he composes several pieces of music; and he rules the roost within this company. Permeating within the art of hand puppetry, since Wang was in his childhood. In this case, Wang becomes a hand puppetry virtuoso. Meanwhile, he in the rock band also serves as a lead vocalist cum guitarist as well as a lyric and score composer. After joining his family hand puppetry industry, he is acquiring skills from various forms of performance. And eventually he creates “rock and roll puppet musical,” a ground-breaking form of stage playing with hand puppetry and original rock music.  And this accomplishment leads him to be awarded for “the Best Score and the Best Sound” in 9th and 10th Golden Palm Awards.  In 2018, he was nominated in the category of language of Holo in 15th Taiwan Music Composition and Songwriting Contest, which lets hand puppetry step on the stage in the genre of pop music.  In 2022, Wang then led Gihienke to perform “rock bahnsenn” in Megaport Festival. Then In recent years, his workpieces including both drama performance and music composition are acknowledged as such a big hit.
