呂翼雲，嘉義人，成長於教育家庭，國立臺南藝術大學中國音樂學系研究所畢業，主修指揮，師承安敬業、林晉名教授，並隨林瑞男教授研習笛、簫演奏與製作。
2016年創立嘉義民族管弦樂團，擔任團長及指揮，致力推廣民族音樂，帶領樂團自2018-24年獲選為嘉義縣傑出演藝團隊，2025年再獲國藝會「Taiwan Top演藝團隊」肯定。
身兼藝術總監，曾主導「嘉義國樂節」、「嘉義民族音樂節」、「大埔藝術節」等多場藝術節，並策劃曾文水庫水上音樂會《鳴響》、《潯歌》等跨界演出，推動環境劇場音樂節目，結合傳統與當代元素，拓展民族音樂新視野，展現出國樂的無限可能。

 Lu I-Yun, a native of Chiayi, was raised in an educational family. He graduated from the Graduate Institute of Chinese Music at Tainan National University of the Arts, where he specialized in conducting. He studied under Professors An Ching-Yeh and Lin Chin-Ming and received additional training in flute and xiao performance and production under Professor Lin Jui-Nan.
In 2016, Lu founded the Chiayi Traditional Orchestra (CTO), where he serves as both the artistic director and conductor. He is dedicated to promoting ethnic music and has led the orchestra to be recognized as one of “Chiayi County＇s Outstanding Performing Arts Teams” from 2018 to 2024. In 2025, the orchestra was selected as a “Taiwan Top Performing Arts Group.”
As the artistic director, Lu has led and curated various arts festivals, including the “Chiayi Chinese Music Festival,” “Chiayi Ethnic Music Festival,” and the “Dapu Arts Festival.” He has also curated cross-disciplinary performances, such as the “Mingxiang” and “Xinge: Water Music Concerts” at the Tsengwen Reservoir, which advance the concept of environmental theater by combining traditional and contemporary elements. His work continues to explore new horizons for ethnic music and showcases the limitless potential of traditional orchestral music.
